Old St Julian's House From Caerleon Road

Photo reference number: 2335

Postcard postmarked 1907. At this time Oswald B Cuvilji, a chartered accountant, was living in the old house. By 1910 Robert Jenkins, a farmer had taken it over.
In the early 1900s there were no other houses built along this part of Caerleon Road so the property was clearly visible from the road.
Notice the train crossing the bridge on its way to Newport.
